Mission Statement

Assumption Secondary School is a Catholic Voluntary Secondary School under the trusteeship of the Religious Sisters of Charity and a member of The Le Chéile Trust.

‘We endeavour to educate young women in an inclusive, caring, Christian atmosphere of respect for self, others and the environment. We value freedom, equality, and security, and strive to promote the growth of positive thinking, self-worth, and justice.’

Educating the whole person – academically, spiritually, and emotionally – in a learning atmosphere that promotes growth, creativity and kindness is at the core of our mission.

Our school motto is ‘Caritas Christi Urget Nos’ meaning ‘The Love of Christ Urges Us On‘ and it is the cornerstone of our teaching and educational philosophy.

While the school strongly upholds its Catholic ethos, it also welcomes and accommodates religious diversity. Thus we strive to create an inclusive and warm learning environment that fosters learning and social responsibility.
